MWH is affiliated to North London Karate Club ltd , it’s traditional shotokan karate was founded by master Gichin Funakoshi .
What is the karate. The literal translation of karate is “empty hands” “Kara “is empty and ” Te” is hand. Karate – Do is martial art for the development of character and the mind through physical training.
Karate is not about breaking board or being the toughest person, karate training lasts a lifetime and helps build a complete person, strong in mind, body and spirit.
Our MWH club in London main goal is to enhance the physical and mental skills of each student, which can be achieved through long hours of training and over time the body become stronger and the movement become smoother and more graceful.
The Karate classes are structured following a different grading syllabus incorporating :
- Self defence
- Kata techniques
- Body fitness and keeping fit
- Self confidence building

Children and adult karate classes are held at Muslim Welfare House in the Youth Centre every Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- From 5 to 65 years olds
- The classes run every Tuesday and Thursday
- Beginners 5 to 6:15 pm
- Advanced class 6 :15 to 7:15 pm
- Brown belt and black belt 7:15 to 8:15pm
Beginner are welcome to join at any time . It no need to pre- book but please arrive in good-time.
Sensei Azzedine begin training martial art traditional Shotokan Karate in 1997 under Sensei Malek in Algeria moved to the UK 1999 and he went to train with deferent sanseis as Sensei Cherif and Sensei Hassan Moussaoui and then Sensei Otha chief instructor of JKA (Japan Karate Association)
Sensei Hassan his currently holding 2nd Dan black belt.
What to expect during the class
MWH Karate club will consist of three element : Kihon , Kata and Kumites along with other excises designed to increase overall fitness.
Monthly Fee : £ 30 ( 9 session a month ) paid in advance .
Pay as you go £5 session
Membership cost a year £23 junior / senior £25
